i Am Bikes is a Social Enterprise based in Cumbernauld and our aim is to encourage more people to cycle more often.
We recycle your old or unwanted bikes and pick up for free in Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Croy and surrounding villages every Thursday, call us on 01236 899102 to book a slot.
We provide volunteer and work experience opportunities and play an active role in our local community.

The team at I Am Bikes would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time and pedal power to get involved with our Cycle to the Moon challenge. You may have noticed that the website is no longer active as the challenge is over! For those of you who have topped the leader board we take our cycling helmets off to you, you clearly love cycling. For those of you who maybe have not completed so many miles, great effort! Every mile is a mile in the right direction. I Am Bikes is all about trying to get more people cycling.
We have enjoyed delivering this project and would love to hear from you with any comments you may have about your experience of the challenge. Please take the time to respond as it will help the team provide the best service for future I Am Bikes projects.
We've got a new Cumbernauld Cycling Map available to download which links up the town via the Cycle Routes that you hopefully have seen popping up around town.This map is a direct result of the work from the Cycle to the Moon Team. Check the website soon for a direct download.

All of our pre-owned bikes are serviced before they are re-homed, and come with a 60 day warranty.
Our part exchange scheme means you can swap your current bike against your next pre-owned bike. We welcome part exchange whatever the condition. Even it’s just the frame. So don’t chuck it, exchange it.

I Am Bikes works alongside a broad range of groups in our community. We are always eager to hear from other community groups and encourage them to contact us.
We participate in initiatives to provide training for work skills through bike maintenance classes and work experience. We actively encourage continuing development to increase skills and abilities through training and knowledge. If you would like to find out more please contact us.
